Admission Eligibility

The minimum qualification for admission to the M.Phil. program will be at least 55% marks in the aggregate in Relevant P.G Degree and other such degrees which are equivalent to other Indian Universities. However, the candidates with degrees other than their relevant discipline would be required to furnish an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities/ Delhi University or any other competent authority. The onus of producing the relevant equivalence certificate lies on the candidate.However, such candidates will be allowed to appear for the entrance test only provisionally. Their applications will be considered subject to submission of their final results within a prescribed time stipulated by the Department and fulfillment of the minimum eligibility requirements.
Selection Procedure for M.Phil.
• Aspirant must have secured 55% aggregate marks in relevant subject in Post graduation.
• Download the Application form from the website, www.hsv.org.in at research icon.
• Fill the form and attach the required testimonials and enclose research proposal at least of two pages.
• Enclose Rs. ------ DD in favour of ------------
• Sent the above documents to HSV------------
• Have to appear in the Entrance Examination followed by Interview/ DRC before the Doctoral Research Committee as and when intimated by HSV.
Note:
The list of all eligible candidates amongst the candidates who apply for M.Phil programme will be displayed on the HSV website. The eligible candidates will be invited for the Written Test (Research Entrance Test - RET) to be held at various major cities in India and Abroad countries. Candidates can opt to take the RET at any of the exam centres. The model paper and rules for the Research Entrance Test (RET) along with the guidelines for shortlisting will be put up on the HSV website. The list of shortlisted candidates from the eligible list of candidates for all the programmes will be displayed on the HSV website. These candidates will be required to appear for the Personal Interview’s as per the email communication sent to them. Candidates with visual impairment will have to indicate the impairment in the application form. They will be provided with a writer for the written test. The final selection process will be completed and the final list of candidates and relevant information will be uploaded on the HSV website. All candidates who appear in the final selection list are required to bring a hard copy of their duly filled in application form duly filled along with original caste, income and degree certificates as applicable for verification. Selected candidates are expected to pay fees. All the programmes will begin on a date as indicated in the offer letter at the time of admission.
